Bamidele Abiodun, the wife of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, has opened up about the painful losses she has experienced in her life.
In an interview from 8:49 with Morayo Afolabi on The Morayo Show, Mrs Abiodun said she lost her mother 10 years before losing her son. She said her mother was 61 years old, and her death was sudden, scary, and very tragic. She said at that time, she felt like her life was falling apart and did not think she could recover from the loss.
Mrs Abiodun stated that she later lost her son Gbenga in 2017 and said the pain was even more overwhelming. She said she felt like she could not continue living.
In Mrs Abiodun’s words: “10 years before I lost my son, I lost my mom. She was 61 and that was also very scary sudden and very tragic as well. I thought my life was falling apart, I didn’t ever think that I could recover from the loss of my mom at 61. I did not know that God was preparing me for something that was even stronger. So when we lost Gbenga in 2017 I didn’t think that I could live again, I was not interested in life or living.
