According to a video shared on Voice TV, Local security operatives in Lagos have apprehended two suspected armed robbers after tracking their activities in the area. The suspects were caught while attempting to carry out an illegal operation, and upon interrogation, they gave conflicting accounts of their involvement. One of them admitted to being an ex-convict who had recently been released from prison, while the other claimed to be a trader who was lured into the crime.

According to reports, the two men were found in possession of a motorcycle, which they claimed belonged to the individual who had connected them to the operation. Security operatives revealed that the suspects had been under surveillance following a series of robbery incidents in the area. Their capture is seen as a significant breakthrough in curbing criminal activities in Lagos.

During questioning, one of the suspects disclosed that he hails from Ebonyi State and had previously been imprisoned. The second suspect, who is from Anambra State, maintained that he was only a seller of accessories in the market and was convinced by the ex-convict to join the illegal venture in hopes of making money. The security operatives have handed over the suspects to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.

Speaking after their capture, the ex-convict said, “I don’t have a place to stay. It was one guy in a certain compound who told me to follow him. He said he had a bike and would take us to where we would collect money. That is the bike we used to come here. I just came out of prison, but I met him after I was released.”
