According to a report by Channels TV from 0:58 on Monday December 1, 2025, in a profoundly emotional appeal that underscores the desperate state of insecurity in Nigeria’s Middle Belt, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Leader of The Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), has revealed he resorted to kneeling before leaders of the Fulani socio-cultural group, Miyetti Allah, to beg for peace.
Rev. Dachomo, who is known for his outspoken activism against Christian persecution and mass killings in Plateau State, made the disclosure while addressing the persistent communal violence plaguing the region.
He stated that the situation had become so dire that extraordinary measures were required to attain lasting peace, even if it meant humbling himself before the very group whose members are often accused of perpetrating the attacks.
“All my aim, my target is for us to have peace for years and it has reached a stage that I have to kneel down before my fellow Fulanis, Meyetti Allah and beg them because they are the one to give us peace and that is undiluted. The truth.”
The clergyman lamented the painful irony that while his community has consistently worked to promote harmony, they are the ones suffering the brunt of the violence. He publicly disclosed the specific plea he made to the Fulani leaders:
“We have always given them the truth, the peace that they needed. We have given them for years and they know **I begged them on my knees. Please, you know, our side, we have been supplying peace to you, but on your side, you are supplying crisis to us.” View, More,
