In a video shared by ESET TV from 3:05, General Shaibu was seen speaking with one of the injured soldiers during a hospital visit. He told the soldier that he himself had previously been admitted to the same hospital after suffering gunshot wounds to the chest and knee, but fully recovered. He said all the wounded soldiers at the hospital would receive proper care. He also encouraged them to be thankful to God for their lives
