A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Showunmi, has shared some positive feedback he received after recently paying a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In an interview with Channels TV on Monday from 14:09, he clearly pointed out that he has always known President Tinubu, claiming to have previously said that Tinubu is smarter than his peers in the political arena. He stated that he had some issues with the running of the administration, which were clarified by Tinubu during their recent conversation.
Segun Showunmi said he did not approve of how the Southeast region appeared to have been barely considered in the appointment of Ministers by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. After his conversation with the President, he revealed that the matter was properly addressed regarding the lopsided appointments.
Showunmi added that he has not ruled out the possibility of working with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Responding to the recent backlash over his visit to the President, he stated that he would have long worked for Tinubu if he had genuinely wanted to.
His words: “I don’t need to be born again, I have always known him (Tinubu), I have always said that he is smarter than his mates. I think what happened when I was with him yesterday was nostalgia of who I know he is. I like the fact that he is just like I knew him to be”.
