Former Governor Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has stated that he no longer attends church services because he is uncertain about the character of the cleric who would be praying for him or leading the service.
In a video shared by Channels TV, Wike said some clerics changed their attitude towards him because he is no longer in power as governor of Rivers State. He made these statements During during a Thanksgiving service for Ken Chikere’s 70th birthday.
In Wike’s words: “I don’t go to churches now because I don’t know who will be praying for me, I am not sure. I see how men of God will because of power change, simply because ‘he is no longer in power’. Ken in this your 70th birthday there will be a change of heart, there will be a new beginning. Let people live life the way they are supposed to live life.
