A deeply disturbing incident has emerged from Delta State as Hyacinth Nnalue, project owner and cousin to the deceased, recounted the harrowing experience of losing his relative in a shocking act of betrayal and violence.

Speaking during an interview with Arise TV from 2:34, Nnalue revealed that his cousin had been missing for over four months, with no clue as to his whereabouts until recently.

According to Nnalue, the victim was allegedly murdered by individuals working in his own house after they discovered that he had a significant amount of money in his bank account. The suspects reportedly killed him and buried his body in a shallow grave on the premises, attempting to cover up the crime.

“He has been missing for up to four months plus and I didn’t know if he was dead or alive,” Nnalue said, his voice filled with emotion. “I was just struggling to recover even if it was the dead body or anything, let me carry it to the village and prove my innocence. So today, we have discovered the dead body and also arrested those who have murdered him and buried him.”

The case has raised alarm over the increasing insecurity in the region and the ease with which trust can be Betrayed even by those within close proximity. Nnalue expressed gratitude to the police for their role in apprehending the suspects and helping him find closure.

“I want to thank the police for their efforts. This has been a nightmare for my family. Now at least, the truth is coming out,” he said.

The police are continuing their investigations as the suspects remain in custody.
