PDP Chieftain Daboikiabo Warmate has launched a fierce attack on Ikenga Ugochinyere, accusing the outspoken lawmaker of betrayal and fraud within the party, escalating tensions among opposition ranks ahead of the 2027 elections.
In the video, Daboikiabo Warmate dismissed Ugochinyere’s influence, stating, “Ikenga Ugochinyere is nobody. I say it with every sense of responsibility. He doesn’t have that power. I told you that I don’t talk about my opinion, sentiments or emotions, I talk PDP constitution.”
He claims that the lawmaker owes his position to powerful party figures.
“I dare Ugochinyere to deny the fact that if not for Wike and Anyanwu, he would have been in the House of Representatives. I dare him to a public debate,” Warmate declared.
Further condemning Ugochinyere, Warmate accused him of sustaining an extravagant lifestyle through deceit.
“That’s how Ugochinyere eats. That’s how he finances his beyond his income lifestyle. He would come to talk rubbish, and one or two people that he favours would give him money. His talk in trade is lying, blackmailing and propaganda,” he said.
The confrontation reflects deepening divisions within the PDP, as Ikenga Ugochinyere has been both a vocal critic of party leadership and a controversial figure, having faced suspension and expulsion attempts that were later nullified by the party’s National Working Committee.
As for the 2027 elections, such internal conflicts highlight the challenges the opposition faces in presenting a united front against the ruling party.
