The former Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government, Samuel Nwanosike has alleged that the governor of Rivers state, Sir Siminalayi Fubara is deliberately attempting to discredit his political opponents, particularly those who hold contrary views to his administration. He emphasized his substantial contributions to the development of Ikwerre Local Government during his tenure as Chairman.

He specifically highlighted one of his major achievements: the reconstruction of the Local Government Council. He expressed deep concern about what he perceives as orchestrated efforts to diminish or destroy his legacy in Ikwerre local government. He argued that this is a calculated strategy aimed at manipulating public perception, making it appear as though these opposition figures are the primary instigators of ongoing crises in Rivers state.
