Former National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Stella Okotete, has expressed confidence that the political movement supporting Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, will not pose a threat to the APC in the 2027 elections.

During an interview with TVC News from 9:22, Okotete dismissed concerns about the influence of the Obidient movement, emphasizing that Nigeria is becoming a favourable environment for investment under president Bola Tinubu.

She noted that as investors begin to enter the country, job opportunities will increase, leading to significant economic growth. She further pointed out that President Bola Tinubu is making substantial investments in critical infrastructure.

According to Okotete, these developments will strengthen the APC’s position, leaving little room for a strong opposition in the next election. She questioned the existence of any political figure capable of outperforming Tinubu with the way things are in the country at the moment.

She said, “I can say it again and again, the Obidients or whatever is not a threat to the APC in 2027. Today, Nigeria is a haven for investment, and once investors start coming, you will notice that it will create a lot of employment, it will bring a whole lot of growth and the president is also investing in critical infrastructure. With all of these in place, we actually will not have an opposition in 2027. I don’t know who is available that will be able to do it better than Bola Tinubu today.”
