A 20-year-old mother in Delta State whose baby was stolen by a woman named Joy Temitope revealed that she began to feel sleepy after taking the drink offered to her by Temitope, and when she woke up, she could not find her baby.
As reported by the Punch News, the mother of the baby said, “I began to feel sleepy after taking the drink. That was how I slept off, and when I woke up, I could not find my baby.”
Narrating how it all happened, the 20-year-old mother said she met Joy Temitope in the market, who said she wanted them to have a business transaction and requested that she come to her place. So while going to her place, Temitope gave her a drink, and she started feeling sleepy. Temitope told her that her children were not at home and that they should stay at her church member’s store, which was locked. That was how she slept off, and when she woke up, her baby was gone.
The mother reported the case to the police and investigation was done. The baby was rescued after three months and has been reunited with the mother.
When Joy Temitope was interrogated on why she stole the baby, she revealed that she stole the baby because her children were already adults and they were about to be admitted into the institution, so she did not have any children around her.
