Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has responded to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s claim that he threatened her during her conflict with Senate President Godswill Akpabio. He said he called Natasha at midnight and put the call on speaker. He explained that senators often stay awake until 2 or 3 a.m., so he didn’t think it was too late to call.

Speaking in a video shared by Viable Television from 1:38, Bamidele said that when Natasha answered, the first thing he did was apologize and ask if he had woken her up. She told him no. He then asked about her husband, whom he referred to as his brother, and she replied that he was fine and right there with her.
