Daniel Bwala, a prominent lawyer and policy analyst, has announced his departure from the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Bwala, who served as a spokesman for the campaign organisation of Atiku Abubakar, the PDP candidate in the 2023 presidential election, made this revelation on Thursday’s edition of Channels Television’s Politics Today.

“I am not a member of the PDP. Yes, I have left the PDP,” Bwala declared during the program, confirming his exit from the party.

According to Channels Television, when questioned about his potential affiliation with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bwala hinted at a possible defection. “I am very close,” he said, referring to joining the APC, the party he had previously defected from.
