Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, shared an astounding testimony during the “Light Up Liberia Thanksgiving Service” held on July 21, 2024.

The sermon, part of the series 1 hour 55 minutes “Let There Be Light,” focused on the transformative power of seeing God’s glory.

Referencing 2 Kings 2:9-15, Pastor Adeboye explained that witnessing the glory of God often results in miracles beyond human comprehension. He cited the biblical account of Lazarus, who was resurrected by Jesus after being dead for four days, to illustrate that God’s power can defy human limitations and expectations.

Pastor Adeboye shared a contemporary miracle that occurred in Nigeria. A young man working in Lagos received news that his sister had died in the eastern part of the country. Despite the distance and the elapsed time, he decided to travel home. By the time he arrived, his sister had been dead for 11 days and had already been embalmed.

However, the young man had with him a handkerchief that had been anointed by Pastor Adeboye. Entering the room where his sister’s body lay, he laid the handkerchief on her and commanded, “I command you in the name of the God of Adeboye, arise!” Initially, nothing happened, and he began to leave the room in sorrow. But as he reached the door, he heard a sound and turned to see his sister sitting up.

“This is the kind of miracle that embodies the glory of God,” Pastor Adeboye declared. “When you experience such a testimony, people may doubt its authenticity, but it stands as a testament to God’s unimaginable power.”

He emphasized that such divine encounters transform believers profoundly, stating, “If only you can see the glory of God, nobody will be begging you not to sin. You will be transformed from glory to glory, recognizing God’s continuous miracles in your life.”….Seë_Morë
