In a recent video on Facebook, Pastor David Ibiyeomie recently shared a remarkable story from the early days of his ministry. He recounted a period when his church faced intense opposition from their neighbors at the headquarters in Port Harcourt.
Unaware of the full extent of the opposition’s actions, which included both military officers and civilians, Pastor Ibiyeomie and his congregation turned to prayer. “When we came together to pray, they transferred the military officer to Kwara State,” he revealed. Miraculously, within a week, all those who had conspired against the church were transferred to other locations.
According to him, “At the beginning of our ministry, a time came when our neighbors in the headquarter gang up against us. They said this church must leave this place. They were going from house to house to sign. They took the matter to the governor of that time in Port Harcourt. But the governor turned down their proposal. He told them that they should be happy for a church like this to be sited in the location.”
“I didn’t know what was happening. Military officers, civilians joined together. It wasn’t all of them though but some. When we came together to pray, they transfer the military officer to Kwara state. The whole of them who ganged up against us were transferred to another location in just one week.
