In a statement on his verified Twitter account, Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of a prominent Hamas leader and a former Palestinian militant, issued a stern warning about the ongoing crisis in Lebanon.

He emphasized the devastating impact that Hezbollah and Palestinian factions have had on the country, drawing parallels to a potential threat to Europe.

Yousef described the situation in Lebanon as an “Islamic invasion,” highlighting the destructive role played by both Shiite Hezbollah and Sunni Palestinian groups. According to him, these factions have transformed what was once a “beautiful and civilized” Lebanon into a state of ruins. He cautioned that Hezbollah and Palestinian groups are intent on continuing the destruction they began 50 years ago, with a looming war against Israel potentially driving Lebanon back to the Stone Age.

This stark warning from Yousef comes at a time when tensions in the region are escalating, with Hezbollah and Palestinian factions allegedly preparing for further conflict with Israel. Yousef’s message serves as a reminder of the long-standing animosities and the catastrophic consequences that could arise from renewed hostilities.

Beyond the immediate implications for Lebanon, Yousef also issued a cautionary note to Europe. He suggested that if European nations do not heed the lessons from Lebanon’s experience, they could face a similar fate. His warning points to the broader geopolitical challenges posed by radical groups and the potential for instability to spread beyond the Middle East.
