Prophet Joshua Iginla, founder of Champions Royal Assembly, has once again drawn attention to the importance of integrity and character in ministry, recounting a personal experience involving a fellow pastor who stole from him during a church program.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Prophet Iginla shared a real-life encounter where his phone mysteriously went missing after a fellow pastor paid him a visit.
“Another time I was in one part of the state—I will not mention. I went for a program. He came to visit me,” Iginla began. “By the time he left, one of my phones disappeared. I’m telling you life story.”
He explained how he immediately confronted the pastor and accused him directly but discreetly. “I ran and followed him. I said, ‘Come, come. I know that you borrowed my phone. Return it back.’”
According to Iginla, the man did not deny the act. “He laughed. He said, ‘Truly, I borrowed it.’ That was why I ran away from him,” he said, expressing disbelief that someone in spiritual leadership could act in such a dishonest manner.
Iginla used the incident to highlight a deeper issue plaguing many in ministry—character flaws that limit spiritual growth and divine elevation. “But you see, those kind of pastors can’t go high,” he said bluntly.
He further noted that when others rise in ministry and experience God’s blessings, those with questionable character often jump to wrong conclusions. “Now when they see some going high, they think you do something,” Iginla added, hinting at the suspicion and envy often directed at successful ministers.
The prophet’s remarks have reignited conversations around ministerial conduct, trust, and the unseen disciplines that sustain spiritual leadership. His message strongly affirms the belief that anointing without character cannot carry lasting influence.
“True success in ministry,” Iginla stressed, “comes not just by calling, but by conduct. You cannot deceive God.”
