Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, a key ally of Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has stated that some top politicians are beginning to change their views about Obi and the Obidient movement.
In a video shared by Symfoni TV from 16:13 , Obaze said that a well-known national politician (whose name he didn’t mention) once stated that the Obidient movement would fade away with time and never lead to anything serious. Obaze said that the politician was wrong in his judgment and has now admitted it.
Obaze said the same politician who once told Obi that he could never become president has since changed his mind and said so in public. He said this politician even called Peter Obi personally to apologise and told him that he now believes Obi has what it takes to become president of Nigeria.
In Obaze’s words: “He has called Peter Obi to say ‘I was wrong, when you came to my house I told you that you can never be president. I have changed my mind’. So we have won one convert from the establishment”
