In a recent statement, Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South and the Chief Whip of the Senate, has made a serious allegation against President Bola Tinubu, as reported by Nigerian Tribune.

He claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been “caged” by certain forces within the Presidential Villa.

These forces, he said, have prevented selfless Nigerians from accessing the President.

Senator Ndume voiced these concerns on Wednesday while speaking to journalists at the National Assembly complex in Abuja.

His statements came in the wake of a Senate resolution on Tuesday.

The Senate had urged the federal government to address the impending food crisis in the country and to inform Nigerians immediately about the measures being taken.

The resolution was a response to a motion titled “Urgent Need to Address Food Insecurity and Market Exploitation of Consumables In Nigeria.”

This motion was co-sponsored by Senator Ndume and Senator Sunday Karimi from Kogi West.

Senator Ndume expressed his frustration over the lack of action in addressing the country’s security challenges.

The Senator underlined the urgent need for the government to address food scarcity and urged President Tinubu to take action.

Senator Ndume also addressed the farmers-herders crisis, which has worsened the food scarcity.

He expressed disappointment that stakeholders have not been straightforward in addressing the issue, noting that contributions are often driven by ethnic sentiments.

“Mr. President isn’t in the picture of what is happening outside the Villa. He has been fenced off and caged.” So many of us won’t go through the backdoor to engage him. Now they have stopped him from talking, and he doesn’t have public affairs managers, except his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, who writes press statements. Nigerians are getting very, very angry.”
