Nigeria has been greatly impacted by the first day of the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests. In an interview, a female protester expressed her frustrations with the government.

During an interview with a protester from 1:59, when asked about the possibility of a violent response from security forces, reminiscent of the EndSARS protests, the protester displayed resilience.

She questioned whether their current quality of life was worth protecting, suggesting they were already living in dire conditions.

She mentioned those who died at the Lekki tollgate, saying they are no better off. Fearless, she revealed she carried kerosene in her bag, ready to get herself exploded, and had already bid her family goodbye, prepared for any outcome.

Quoting the protester, “That they will shoot at us? Are we living a life like this? We are already dead. Are we alive? People that died at the Lekki tollgate, are we better than them? We are not better than them.”

“I’m not scared. Kerosene is inside my bag; if they shoot teargas, if they shoot guns, they don’t let me escape. I’ve already told my mother where I was going, and I’ve told them bye-bye. Thank you very much.” The protester walked away after saying this….Sêe_Morē
