The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani has alleged that the followers of the Notorious Bandit Leader, Halilu Sububu are now in disarray following his death and that Bello Turji who is another prominent bandit, is aware that he will be targeted next.

He expressed the hope that the military will continue to target bandit leaders, which will give people hope and encourage them to support the military with intelligence. He believes that this will help to weaken the bandits’ capacity to threaten and harass innocent civilians on social media. He expressed his optimism that the military’s success in killing Sububu is just the beginning of more successes to come in the fight against banditry in the North.

He said in an interview with Channels TV from 31:59, ”The people of Northwest Axis are really happy with the effort made by the military in the killing of Halilu Sububu. He has a high command on a lot of Bandits around the North West axis. Halilu Sububu’s boys are now in disarray and Bello Turji knows it is only a matter of time now before the military gets to him.

If Bello Turji can be eliminated as well, that will really go a long way in making our people to be more hopeful about the fight against Banditry in the Northwest. When they are seeing this result, they will support the military more with intelligence. And these characters who are coming out on social media to threaten and harass our people will no longer have that capacity to do that when we go after their leaders. So we hope that this is just the beginning of the successes that we are expecting in the fight against Banditry in the North.”
