According to a report by Arise News, on Sunday November 23, 2025, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo has announced that he escalated allegations against Sheikh Ahmad Gumi to international authorities, insisting the Islamic cleric must answer for claims that mass burials in Plateau State were fabricated.

The reverend stated that Gumi’s name has been flagged with Interpol and that he should be compelled to testify before the International Criminal Court. He expressed confidence that the cleric would be located regardless of where he might seek refuge.

In his words “I have nailed his name. He must appear to Interpol. Even when he hides in Saudi Arabia, I am very sorry for him. They will fish him out. He will appear in the International Criminal Court of the world to come and testify,” he said.

Dachomo’s actions follow Gumi’s alleged statements that coffins buried after recent killings in Plateau’s Mangu area were empty. The reverend characterized these claims as offensive and dangerous, saying they dismissed the genuine anguish of bereaved Christian communities.

The cleric proposed a definitive resolution to the controversy by demanding the graves be opened before a high-ranking delegation. He specified that the Minister of Defense, State Security Service representatives, Nigeria’s Chief Judge, Chief of Defense Staff, Army Chief, and senior commanders should witness the exhumation.

Dachomo also criticized what he described as systemic government failure to protect Christian populations from armed attacks. He stated that official inaction has emboldened violent groups who operate without fear of consequences.

To prevent tampering with evidence, the reverend revealed he instructed youths in the affected village to maintain watch over the burial sites. He expressed concern about potential nighttime operations to disturb the graves.

The clergyman shared that he visited the burial site and prayed there, directing people to his social media where documentation of his grief could be found. He concluded by invoking spiritual judgment against Gumi, calling for divine accountability in the matter. View, More,
