Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has given his take on the defections recently experienced by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In recent times the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been hit with a massive wave of defections, as prominent politicians decamp to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in a search for greener pastures.

However, during an interview with Channels Television from 1:44, the former governor, Ayo Fayose, stated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will come fourth in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election, as the party has lost numerous veteran politicians.

He maintained that in Ekiti State, there is a close relationship between incumbent governors and former governors irrespective of their party, and if the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) decides to take offense with this, then good luck with them.
