According to Punch, a violent altercation between two live-in partners in the Mile 3 area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has left a man severely injured and a woman under police custody. The incident, which occurred on Thursday on Bishop Okoye Street, Diobu, sparked public outcry as residents expressed shock over the level of violence involved.

The woman, identified only as Gift, aged 43, was arrested after allegedly biting her partner, known as Sunday, during a heated disagreement. Reports suggest that Sunday had asked for intimacy, which Gift declined due to concerns over his consumption of a stimulant product. This rejection allegedly led to a physical confrontation in which Gift, while trying to defend herself, inflicted a serious bite on a private part of Sunday’s body.
