In a recent video on Fox Tv from 4 minutes 19 seconds, retired four-star General Jack Keane has stated that Iran’s two primary militant proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas, are significantly weakened following the elimination of key leaders in both organizations. Speaking on Fox News, Keane emphasized that Iran is “back on its heels,” as their strategy in the region faces severe setbacks.

He noted that Israel’s military actions have dismantled much of the operational command structure of these groups, crippling their ability to launch significant offensives. Despite two recent missile attacks by Hezbollah and Hamas, Keane described them as “inconsequential,” a sign of the diminishing strength of these forces.

Keane highlighted that Iran’s expectations for the conflict, which escalated on October 7th, have not materialized as planned. “They know full well that where they are today is not where they thought they would be,” he said, pointing to Iran’s vulnerability in light of the losses its proxies have suffered.

According to him, “Well, the Iranians, I’ve said time and again, they are back on their heels. They are watching the dismantling of their two most powerful proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas. All the leaders in both of these organizations have been kìlled.”

“They have conducted two massive missile attacks on Israel that have been inconsequential. They know full well that where they are today is not where they thought they would be when October 7th started. So, they are back on their heels, and they are vulnerable.”
