A Political Analyst and a Port Harcourt-based publisher, Oby Ndukwe has alleged that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu did not mention hearing an explosion while at the Presidential hotel during the Conversation between Governor Sim Fubara and the Senators.
She stated that since the governor had suggested that the explosion’s intent was to intimidate the senators, they should have heard a bang. She refrained from questioning the governor’s integrity or accusing him of fabricating the story. However, she argued that in a similar past incident where the state assembly was bombed, the building was demolished without a police investigation.
She said in an interview with Arise TV From 11:43, ”When the governor was speaking to the Senators and I know Senator Orji Uzor Kalu was there. Sen Orji Kalu didn’t say they heard an explosion while they were in the hotel. The governor said the intention of the explosion was to scare them away and so by the time they got back to Abuja, they would join those who were calling for a state of emergency.
I’m not going to impugn on the character of the governor by saying he’s making up the story. He’s the Chief Security of the state and he may be privy to some of this information. But then again, a similar incident had happened in the state assembly. It was bombed and before the police could move in to do some forensic examination, it was pulled down.”…..Sée Moré
