The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to a recent public statement made by suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Wike said he felt sympathy for Fubara but believed the situation he was facing could have been avoided.
In a video shared by Arise TV, Wike stated that Fubara’s troubles began when he decided to go against the people who stood by him and helped him to become governor. He explained that some individuals made personal sacrifices and fully supported Fubara to become governor. He said instead of appreciating those who helped him rise to power, Fubara turned against them too soon. He said that within just 100 days in office, Fubara began to oppose the very people who had stood by him.
Wike said: “Fubara made a public statement yesterday which I feel for him, ordinarily he doesn’t need to be under this kind of situation if he has listened to people who put themselves down despite all odd and said ‘no we will use him.
