A woman from Rivers State has spoken out about her support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara during a recent prayer gathering. Many women gathered to pray and ask President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to cancel the state of emergency in Rivers State and allow Governor Fubara to continue leading.
In a video that was shared by SYMFONI TV, The woman, who is a Muslim, said that both the rich and poor in Rivers State are upset because Fubara truly cares for everyone, including Muslims. She explained that under the past governor, now the Minister of the FCT, some mosques were destroyed. “He has never destroyed our mosques like the past governor, who is the FCT minister he destroyed some of our mosques,” she said. However, since Fubara became governor, he has embraced Muslims and treated them with respect.
According to her, Fubara has never destroyed their mosques. Instead, he joins them during their celebrations, such as Salah, and has even sponsored some Muslim brothers and sisters to go to Mecca for pilgrimage. She said this shows that Fubara is a kind and caring leader, very different from the former governor.
The woman also pleaded with President Tinubu, calling him a father figure and leader in Islam, to listen to their cries. She asked him to act quickly and help bring back Fubara as governor because Rivers State has been peaceful under his leadership.
She ended by saying she believes God will hear their prayers and give them success. The women are begging on their knees for their beloved governor to be restored to his position.
