Chijoke Ihunwo has strongly defended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara against allegations that he has ties with militant groups. These claims were made by former Head of Service, George Nweke, but Ihunwo insists they are false.

During an interview with TVC News, Ihunwo made it clear that Governor Fubara is a peaceful leader who wants the best for the state. He said, “We are open for discussion, and anything that brings peace to our state, I will support it.” He also urged people to allow the governor to complete his tenure without unnecessary conflicts.

Ihunwo believes that external forces are trying to spread false information about Fubara to create problems in Rivers State. He reassured Nigerians that the governor has no links to any militant group, saying, “I sit down with him, and we discuss. He is not that kind of person.”

He also emphasized the need for genuine peace in the state, urging that nobody should force the governor to do anything against his will. “We will continue to support him because we have nowhere else to go. I remain loyal and committed to Fubara,” Ihunwo stated.

Ihunwo also made it clear that Governor Fubara is focused on governance and peace, dismissing all allegations against him. He called on the people of Rivers State and Nigeria to support the governor and allow him to lead without interference.
