According to a report by Vanguard on Thursday, former President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that he remains a loyal member of the party that granted him two terms in office.

His statement comes amidst recent speculation about defections from the APC, including the departure of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and rumors of other high-profile figures potentially leaving the ruling party.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his media aide, Mallam Garba Shehu, Buhari sought to dispel any doubts regarding his political allegiance.

The former president emphasized that he would continue to stand by the APC and contribute to its growth and success.
