Adolphus Wabara, the current head of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Senate President, recently shared his thoughts in a video posted on SYMFONI TV.
In this video, he expressed a profound sense of happiness regarding the party’s resilience and ongoing vitality. Wabara stated, “For some reasons, I am so happy that the party is alive; this party will not die,” highlighting his optimism for the future of the PDP.
In a significant development for the party, the BoT has issued a call to leaders from the North-Central region, urging them to take the necessary steps to select a replacement for the former National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
This request was formally articulated in a communique that followed an emergency meeting held in Abuja, where party leaders gathered to discuss pressing issues facing the organization. During this meeting, Wabara emphasized the necessity for regional leaders to convene a meeting of stakeholders to facilitate the nomination of Ayu’s successor.
He underscored the importance of unity and collaboration among party members, as this transition is crucial for maintaining the party’s strength and direction moving forward. The BoT’s initiative reflects a commitment to ensuring effective leadership and fostering a sense of collective responsibility within the party.
