The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike has ordered the Contractor of the Gwali Road to complete the road project within one year. He argued that 18 months was an excessively long period for such a critical project.

He expressed his bewilderment at the initial decision to allocate 18 months for the completion of the road project. He emphasized that if the extended timeline was due to financial concerns, the necessary funds would be provided without delay. He urged the contractors to expedite their efforts, underscoring the urgency and necessity of the road for the community.

He said in an interview by Channels TV From 5:32, “I don’t even know why they told the contractor that 18 months should be used to finish this project. If it is because of payment, we are ready to pay. Finish up this road within one year; 18 months is too much for this project. I have seen the importance of this road to the people, and we must not disappoint them.”
