Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has applauded recent breakthroughs in Nigeria’s fight against insecurity, celebrating the release of abducted victims in Kwara and Niger states. In a post shared on his official X handle on Sunday, November 23, 2025, Fani-Kayode described the developments as significant progress in the ongoing battle against terrorism.

According to him, all 38 worshippers kidnapped in Eruku, Kwara State, were successfully rescued. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, security agencies, and the Armed Forces for what he called a job well done.

Fani-Kayode also confirmed the release of 50 out of the 303 female students abducted during the recent attack on St. Mary’s School in Niger State. While acknowledging that many students remain unaccounted for, he stressed that the latest rescue offers renewed hope.

The former minister urged Nigerians to commend the authorities for their efforts so far, emphasizing that unity remains crucial in overcoming national security challenges.

“We are making progress and we must encourage and commend our leaders for what they have managed to achieve so far,” he wrote. “When we stand together as one, we make progress. By God’s grace we shall win this war against terror.”

His remarks come amid growing national concern over mass abductions, with citizens and advocacy groups calling for intensified rescue operations and long-term security reforms.
