Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to Vice President Kashim Shettima’s recent speech at the United Nations General Assembly. In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Fani-Kayode commended Shettima for strongly condemning Israel’s attacks on Palestine, describing the speech as courageous and principled.
He praised the Vice President for standing against what he called injustice, racism, apartheid, genocide, ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and mass murder. According to Fani-Kayode, such a bold stance not only affirms Nigeria’s humanity and compassion but also calls upon divine intervention in support of justice.
Fani-Kayode further expressed pride in Shettima’s advocacy for a permanent seat for Nigeria on the United Nations Security Council and his support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He emphasized that Shettima’s address marks a defining moment for Nigeria on the global stage, stating that history will remember the country for refusing to remain silent during what he referred to as the second most brutal holocaust in human history.
Fani-Kayode concluded by commending Shettima’s leadership, stating that his speech was a voice for the voiceless and a testament to Nigeria’s stand for justice and peace. See, More, Here>>>>
