The Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Mr Babachir Lawal, has reacted to the recent report that Bola Tinubu’s led government is making plans to arrest the former Anambra State governor, Mr Peter Obi, over the scheduled nationwide protest.
While reacting, Babachir Lawal warned Bola Tinubu’s led government against any attempt to arrest Mr Peter Obi, stating it clearly that arresting Peter Obi may be “a catalyst for chaos.”
According to Daily Post, the former SGF made this disclosure while speaking with newsmen on the issue, he thereby urged President Tinubu not to approach the protesters forcefully. He went on and made it known that any attempt to forcefully stop the protesters will be the catalyst for chaos.
The Former SGF, Babachir Lawal, was a strong supporter of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, during the 2023 general elections. Lawal went on and urged President Tinubu to remove Bayo Onanuga from his position, stating it clearly that Onanuga doesn’t mean well for his government.
In addition, he made it known that he doesn’t expect a presidential spokesperson, to come out and claim that the planned nationwide protest is being organized by Peter Obi, noting that if Peter Obi had the character that Onanuga is ascribing to him, Tinubu’s government would have been down a long time ago….Seë _Morë
