Lauretta Onochie, a prominent member of the former president Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet recently reacted after Senate President Godswill Akpabio committed a massive blunder during a session at the Senate on Wednesday. According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle, she pointed out that sycophancy was taking a toll on sycophants.
The governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma caused a massive stir after he mistakingly wished the soul of president Tinubu eternal respite instead of the late president Muhammadu Buhari.
However, while governor Hope Uzodinma corrected himself, the public took notice of the conspicuous miscalculations, with many viewing the comments as having a prophetic and cryptic undertone.
Surprisingly, Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a plenary at the Senate on Wednesday, made same errors while attempting to commend president Tinubu in the manner in which the late Buhari was buried.
His glaring comments however, sparked a massive stir amongst the populace, including a prominent member of the former president Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet, Lauretta Onochie.
According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle, she pointed out that the blunder from the two APC heavyweights was a statement and should not be taking lightly.
Lauretta Onochie, well known for her outspokenness, pointed out that sycophancy was taking a toll on sycophants as Senator Godswill Akpabio only repeated what governor Hope Uzodinma did.
