Political strategist and National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko, has raised critical questions about the source of arms fueling insecurity in Nigeria, suggesting that foreign powers are fully aware of the situation. This was contained in a viral video from 25:38 posted by SYMFONI TV.

Tanko made the statement while discussing the rise of armed groups in Nigeria and the international community’s awareness of the country’s security challenges.

He questioned how bandits in Nigeria transitioned from using basic weapons like bows and arrows to acquiring sophisticated firearms and military-grade equipment. He pointed out that countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, and France possess advanced intelligence capabilities and are likely aware of how these weapons are entering and exiting Nigeria.

The political activist emphasized that global powers have the tools and data to track arms movement and should not feign ignorance. He called for urgent action to identify and cut off the supply chains enabling the rise of heavily armed non-state actors.

His words,

“Even when Donald Trump said he was going to march into the country and all of that, the question I always ask is that, find out who are supplying these bandits with these guns, cut off the supplies. Because everything that is happening in Nigeria is known by Britain, France, and America. They have the intelligence reports; they even have intelligence reports more than you. Because they know how those things are flowing in and taken out. They have all the radar, they can read and know. So, who’s supplying the weapons?” View, More,
