Matthew Kure, a pastor has spoken about a recent attack on his village in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State and how it has deeply affected people of his village. He said he lost 11 members of his church during the attack.

In a video shared by TVC from 4:16, Kure said that every night feels terrifying for them because of the fear and trauma their wives and children are dealing with. He said some families have started running to nearby villages, seeking safety.

Kure said there is still a strong fear that the attackers might return, which is why many of their relatives are too scared to even spend the night in their own homes.

In Kure’s words: “Every night is so horrific to us because of what our wives, children are facing. They are traumatized already, to even sleep in the village has become issue to them. They are running to nearby villages because of what happened. We are afraid that they might still come back to attack us, that is why some of our relatives find it difficult to spend a night in the village”
