Former Minister Solomon Dalung has shared his views on the situation involving Nasir El-Rufai, saying the government’s actions show fear rather than strength.
Speaking during an interview from 3:01 on Trust TV, Dalung suggested that authorities were initially unsure how to handle El-Rufai. According to him, there were attempts to detain him earlier, including at the airport, but those efforts did not succeed. He also said El-Rufai’s decision to cooperate may have disrupted the government’s plans. Dalung claimed that once he was in custody, authorities did not have strong accusations ready and had to begin searching for possible charges afterward.
Despite the situation, Dalung believes the case against El-Rufai is unlikely to succeed. He argued that any legal process built on weak or unclear grounds would not stand for long.
In his words, “El-Rufai himself decided to surrender himself, that’s the greatest mistake he made as a comrade. Comrades do not surrender.” Read_More…
