The Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State House of Assembly Legislative Commission, Francis Kozah, has claimed that former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, never supported President Bola Tinubu’s candidacy from the beginning.
Speaking during an interview on TVC News from 2:59, Kozah stated, “El-Rufai in the first instance never supported Tinubu’s candidate ship.
I said this because I know the battle we had when we started the group.”
His remarks suggest that there were internal struggles within the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding Tinubu’s emergence as the party’s flagbearer.
While El-Rufai was later seen as backing Tinubu, Kozah’s statement implies that this support may not have been genuine from the outset.
The comment has sparked discussions within political circles, with some analysts suggesting that it sheds light on deeper divisions within the APC.
El-Rufai, known for his strong political influence, has been at the center of various controversies, including recent speculations about his strained relationship with the Tinubu-led administration.
