Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, a former member of President Bola Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council and Executive Secretary of the National Institute of Cultural Orientation, has sharply criticized former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, attributing his recent public conduct to personal frustration and disappointment.

In a candid interview on News Central TV on September 2, 2025, Ajiboye urged Nigerians to dismiss El-Rufai’s recent statements, arguing that his credibility has been undermined by emotional distress.

Ajiboye asserted that El-Rufai’s frustration has clouded his judgment, causing him to shift from a position of perceived intelligence to one marked by folly. He suggested that El-Rufai’s actions reflect a decline in reasoning, driven by his failure to secure a ministerial role after supporting Tinubu’s 2023 campaign.

In his statement, he said, “To be very honest with you, we should stop discussing El-Rufai as a serious matter.

Mallam El-Rufai in recent times has allowed his frustration to cloud his reasoning and wisdom, and he has fallen from the high horse of intelligence to the base of foolery completely.”
