Southeast Leader of the Tinubu Support Organization, George Agbakahi, has criticized former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai for making questionable and distasteful comments about the current APC government.
Speaking in an interview with Arise News Television, Agbakahi recalled El-Rufai publicly claiming that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 Presidential candidate, won the 2023 Presidential election.
He said:
“Somebody of El-Rufai’s status will come to the mass media and say that we may not even have a country if APC wins the election in 2023. Is that not disingenuous and outrageous of him. He came on again and said Peter Obi won the 2023 election, those are treacherous statements and it is not only him”.
Agbakahi went on to downplay the activities and engagements of the current African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, describing the group as “old wine packaged in a new bottle.” According to him, Nigerians already have negative past experiences with these politicians and will not be swayed by their current political gimmicks to gain traction ahead of 2027.
He strongly defended the current APC government, stating that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done a great deal to improve the lives and well-being of Nigerians. He highlighted the reduction in inflation under this administration and the implementation of the student loan initiative, which he said has significantly benefited Nigerian youths.
