In a blunt interview on News Central TV from 11:50, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress Caretaker Committee in Rivers State, Chibike Ikenga suggested that Edwin Clark, Uche Secondus, and Atiku Abubakar hold grudges against Nyesom Wike due to his triumph over them in political disputes.
Ikenga argued that these figures opposed the PDP’s constitutional provision for rotational presidency, instead backing a transfer of power back to the North, a move which Wike and his allies staunchly resisted.
He claimed that the lingering animosity towards Wike stems from the political wounds inflicted during these conflicts, as Wike ultimately emerged victorious.
According to Chibike Ikenga, “Edwin Clark, Secondus and Atiku Abubakar are pained with Wike’s victory over them. Those people are the same people who went against the PDP constitution about the rotational presidency. President Muhammadu Buhari did eight years and ordinarily, presidency ought to return to the South, but these set of people supported that the Presidency should go back to the North, which Chief Nyesom Wike and like minds kicked against. And because of the bruises sustained in that war, they have not forgiven Nyesom Wike because he came out victoriously.”….See~~More
