Dr. Moses Paul has revealed what Peter Obi said after he was offered an umbrella during heavy downpour in Edo state.
This is coming after the former governor of Anambra state attended the campaign of the Labour Party governorship candidate, Olumide Akpata in Benin City.
In a post that Dr. Moses Paul shared on his official X handle, he said when people tried to shield Peter Obi during heavy downpour in Edo state, he responded by saying that a leader must not be different from his people both in public and in private. Peter Obi said since the rain is falling on both sides, it should continue.
Dr. Moses Paul stated that Peter Obi campaigned under the rain from 12pm to 6pm.
Here is what he wrote on his official X handle;
“A few minutes into the campaign in Benin, a heavy downpour threatened to disrupt the event. While many would have called it off, Peter Obi refused, even when others suggested it. When they tried to shield him with umbrellas, he said, “A leader must not be different from his people, both in public and private. Since the rain is falling on both sides, let it be.” And so, undeterred, he continued campaigning from 12 pm to 6pm in the pouring rain”….S££ – MOR£
