Ayo Olorunfemi, Deputy National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has reacted after Doyin Okupe, former Director General of the Peter Obi 2023 Presidential Campaign Organisation, said that President Tinubu was more competent to serve as Nigeria’s president compared with his rival presidential candidates, including Mr Obi.
In an interview with Channels TV from 0:40, Olorunfemi accused Okupe of being a pretender who deceived the party and left after causing damage. He reaffirmed the party’s believe that Peter Obi is the best president Nigeria is yet to have and expressed hope that Obi will become president by 2027.
He said: “Doyin Okupe was never a social Democrat, and he made it very clear when he was leaving. He pretended, joined us, and deceived us; and when he had finished all the damage, he left. Everybody knows that Peter Obi is still the best president that we are yet to have, and by the grace of God, by year 2027, we are going to have him.
