Nollywood actress and politician, Hilda Dokubo has taken to her official X account on Thursday to react after it was reported that the sum of N393 billion was budgeted for 1,400 street lights in the 2025 national budget.
According to DAILY POST, BudgIT made the revelation. The report stated that each of the street lights cost about N266 million. It was also revealed that the National Assembly inserted a total number of 11,122 projects worth N6.93 trillion into the 2025 budget of N54.99 trillion.
Moreso, it was also stated that 538 boreholes were inserted into the budget at a total cost of N114 billion and a single borehole was estimated at around N212 million.
