The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe has reacted after UK politician and leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch stated that her experience with the police in Nigeria was negative.

According to VANGUARD, Kemi Badenoch made the statement after she stated that Nigerian polìce stole her brother’s shoes. Kemi Badenoch further regarded Nigeria as a poor country where people do all sorts of things.

She was quoted as saying that;

“My experience with the polìce in Nigeria was very negative, and coming to the UK, my first experience with the polìce was very positive.

“The polìce in Nigeria would rob us. I remember the polìce stealing my brother’s shoes and his watch. It’s a very poor country, so people do all sorts of things”.

However, Bright Edafe has now reacted after the report surfaced online. In the post that he shared on his official X handle on Sunday, he said out of everything Kemi Badenoch said, it’s the comment she made about the police that’s trending.

Here is what the Delta Police Public Relations Officer wrote on his page;

“Out of everything she said, it’s the one she said about police that is trending. Without evidence. I repeat we are all Nigerians. Like me, hate me, it’s the simple truth”.
