Publisher and African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has thrown his weight behind a newly unveiled campaign by the Obidient Movement aimed at curbing electoral malpractice and strengthening support for Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Momodu shared a video of the campaign launch on his Instagram page on Friday, August 15, with the headline: “Rigging Days Are Over! Obidients Roll Out Secret Operation for Peter Obi’s Victory.”
The initiative, named “GO MED,” was officially introduced in Abuja by the movement’s coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, just days before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) begins its next phase of voter registration.
“Today, August 14, 2025 — only four days before INEC begins another round of voter registration — we stand united in response to the urgent call from Nigerians to save our nation and build a new one. The Obidient Movement is proud to launch this new campaign. A new Nigeria is possible. Get your PVC and join GO MED,” Tanko announced.
Explaining the campaign’s name, he said: “GO MED stands for ‘Get Organized’ and ‘Make Election Rigging Difficult.’ I repeat: Get organized. Make election rigging difficult.”
