According to a post on Instagram on July 29, 2025, residents and passersby in the Wuse 2 district of Abuja were treated to a dazzling digital display on Monday night as a giant LED billboard lit up in tribute to renowned media mogul and political figure, Chief Dele Momodu.
The display, featuring the inscription “Happy Birthday to the Poss of the Boss”, was seen prominently on the bustling streets of the capital city. The tribute is said to celebrate Momodu’s enduring influence in Nigeria’s media, politics, and civic space, marking him as a “living legend.”
The message accompanying the display, shared on Momodu’s verified Instagram page (@delemomoduovation), read: “As Seen Tonight On The Street Of Wuse 2, Abuja. The World Still Celebrates A Living Legend… Chief Dele Momodu. Thanks For All You Do For Humanity. As A United Entity, We Shall Get Nigeria Working Again.”
The tribute is said to come amidst renewed conversations about national unity, leadership, and legacy building in the run-up to the 2027 elections. Dele Momodu, currently a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is said to remain an influential voice in Nigeria’s public discourse. He previously ran for president and has consistently advocated for democratic reforms and inclusive governance, according to reports by Punch.
