In a recent statement via his official X account, former Nigerian aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode has released a statement accusing foreign governments and global actors of worsening Nigeria’s security challenges.
His comments, shared in a lengthy message to Nigerians, warned that outside powers are influencing internal conflicts and pushing the country toward instability.
“Dear fellow Nigerians, is it not strange to you that each time this blonde-haired, blue-eyed, bully, racist, white supremacist and religious bigot and this ill-bred, ill-informed, recalcitrant war-monger and beastly creature opens its foul mouth more attacks, killings and abductions take place in Nigeria?” he wrote.
In his post, Fani-Kayode said that each time certain foreign leaders criticize Nigeria, violent attacks and abductions seem to increase.
He argued that these comments are not harmless, according to him, they create tension, weaken confidence in Nigeria’s security forces, and embolden extremist groups.
He suggested that such actions may be part of a long-term plan to divide the country.
He accused these foreign nations of applying double standards.
He claimed that they condemn violence in Nigeria but rarely support the nation with weapons, intelligence, or military assistance.
He pointed out that Nigeria faced an arms embargo in the past, and that important terror designations were delayed for years.
Fani-Kayode said these decisions made the fight against terrorism more difficult.
In his statement, he compared Nigeria’s situation to conflicts in other countries.
He argued that similar patterns of external interference had occurred in Sudan, Congo, Libya, and Syria.
He believes Nigeria is now facing the same strategic pressure.
He warned that these actions may be aimed at weakening the government, creating division, and encouraging unrest. View, More,
